P1 W1MAX - Press Releases

15 December 2008

The recent PIKOM PC Fair 2008 cash-and-carry event at the KL Convention Centre, which was held from 12 to 14 Dec 2008, saw a fierce competition of sorts between the service providers in Hall 6. Each company had their own army of promoters and entertainers, and everyone sought to capture the hearts and minds of the thousands that thronged the country's most famous technology showcase.

Amidst the massive and colorful booths, the one by P1 stood out, as it came complete with an impressive overarching display, complete in full P1 W1MAX colors.

Besides getting first-hand information from the black- and purple-clad P1 promoters (especially on how and where they can sign up for P1 W1MAX subscriptions), the fair's visitors were seen making a beeline to enter an overhead transparent chamber.

Additional areas of coverage include Klang, namely Taman Bunga Melor, Taman Botanic, Bukit Tinggi, Taman Perindustrian Pandamaran, Taman Chi Liung, Jalan Bukit Kuda, Port Klang’s town centre, Taman Selatan, and Taman Emas.

Yes, this was the much-talked about P1 Money Chamber! RM10,000 worth of cold, hard cash was given out to visitors who subscribed for P1 W1MAX during the three days - in fact, a certain Cik Azlina Bt Abdul Manaf took home an impressive RM1,114. Not bad for a one-minute task!

The P1 W1MAX booth easily generated the most buzz during the PC Fair event as P1 staff and promoters were chanting "P1" and "WiMAX" in unison. Clowns were also busy entertaining the young ones, and passing out free balloons and goodies.

P1 made its presence felt loud and clear, as P1 branding was everywhere around the PC Fair 2008 venue. Besides banners announcing the joint P1-Intel PC Fair promo, P1 sunshades were also seen in parking lots around the KL Convention Centre.

All in all, P1 had put up a memorable show for the thousands of PC Fair 2008 visitors. And by the looks of it, things should only get bigger and more exciting, next year onwards!
