P1 4G GETTING STRONGER, WIDER, FASTER
Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“P1”), Malaysia’s largest 4G broadband service provider, unveiled its latest advertising campaign today with the tagline ‘Getting Stronger, Wider, Faster, by the Day.’ It also launched Malaysia’s first all-in-one 4G ‘Super Broadband’ package, supporting its mission to make 4G broadband more affordable and accessible for all Malaysians.
At the media launch event, P1’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael Lai, said “P1 is getting stronger with a subscriber base of over 200,000 and a more robust and stable network. It is getting wider with more places to connect and forty-four service centres nationwide. And, P1 customers can interact with P1 customer service faster than ever, via Twitter, Facebook or P1’s dedicated digital care team.”
Lai continued: “The launch of our campaign today indicates our network readiness to give our subscribers a satisfying 4G broadband experience at home and on-the-go.”Lai explained that P1 customers have a hunger for rich media. They download an average of 10GB per user per month. That’s equivalent to 20 movies or 2500 songs in a month.
“Video downloads account for 37 per cent of our subscribers’ online activity. They are hungry for rich media and P1 delivers it at the best value cost per byte in town. Our deep, wide coverage is designed to serve those users who want to download large files, videos and even enjoy streaming video,” said Lai.
P1’s commitment to getting better by the day extends beyond its network design to creating better service delivery and value for money subscription packages. P1’s Getting Stronger, Wider and Faster by the Day campaign supports its new all-in-one 4G ‘Super Broadband’ package for existing and new subscribers. ‘Super Broadband’ provides a first in Malaysia with ‘Super Quota’ that allows a customer’s existing monthly usage quota to be shared with P1’s Add-On services for a minimal monthly fee of RM20.
The Add-On plans are unique service plans designed for P1’s existing and new Home users to get high-speed yet affordable on-the-go broadband. The Standard Add-On plan comes with a broadband for the Home and broadband on-the-go with the Home package including all-in-one data, voice and WiFi connectivity.
“Super Quota provides our customers with the freedom to choose where they want to enjoy their rich media – at home or on-the-go,” said Lai.
Packages for new subscribers who want to take advantage of the ‘Super Quota’ start from as low as RM69 per month for 5GB per month.
Lai also announced P1’s new service name of P1 4G. It was previously P1 W1MAX.
He explained: “WiMAX is a 4G technology and we are the leading player in the 4G broadband space. We will always provide our users with the best connectivity using the best 4G technology available but that technology may not always be WiMAX.”
The 360 degree advertising campaign ‘Getting Stronger, Wider and Faster by the Day’ will roll out across all mediums including TV, radio, print, online and on-ground. It is specifically designed to entertain the public and prove P1 is serious about providing the ‘fun stuff’ at exceptional value. On the back of winning Effie’s most effective marketing campaign for ‘Sudah Potong?’, P1 is confident this campaign will be just as effective in communicating the strength of its improved 4G network and service delivery commitment to get stronger, wider and faster every day.
